Cottagecore Skirt by Tayler Dressmaker

This fabric was gifted to me in exchange for a post & review on Minerva.

I’ve been looking for a go-to skirt since even before I started sewing but never really knew if I wanted a pencil skirt, a gathered skirt, a-line or circle. And since I’m always terrified sewing buttonholes on my machine I have been putting it off trying this pattern, but now that I had the fabric in a perfect shade of brown I thought it was a great time for it.

The skirt is a quick project and I finished it in just a couple hours over two days. I have interfaced the sections behind the buttonholes, but not under the buttons and also the waistline. The skirt is pretty much a half circle skirt and can be hard to fit on fabrics that aren’t wide enough so that is good to know. Instructions were great and I’m so happy with how it turned out. Will definitely make a couple more of this one! Even the buttonholes worked out!
