One of the most wonderful things about Edinburgh weddings are all the historic and absolutely beautiful venues around town.
I recently had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful and intimate Edinburgh wedding. It took place at The Royal College of Physicians on Queen Street which is one of my favourite venues in the city. If you’ve ever dreamt about getting married in a historic building, surrounded by bookcases then this is such a good venue for it. I got married in a library myself so I might be a little biased. The backdrop really suited the dramatic wedding dress that the bride wore and made the photos look magical.
C + A had invited their closest friends and family for a small ceremony at The Royal College of Physicians. Afterwards we went for a short walk across the road as you get access to the Queen Street Gardens when you have a wedding in the venue. The wedding portraits were captured both in the gardens and inside the venue itself. A lovely way to get mixed backdrops for the photos and we had the gardens all to ourselves.
After our portrait session, the couple went for a quick change of clothes before joining their guests at Tigerlily for an afternoon tea reception. And we of course took the opportunity for a couple of photos by the entrance with their gorgeous floral display.
If you are interested in wedding, portrait and branding photography, I would love to hear from you!
