Giselle Blouse from Fabel Knitwear

Disclaimer: I test-knitted this design for Fabel Knitwear so the pattern was provided without charge.

The Giselle Blouse is a romantic blouse with a ribbed bodice knitted in fingering weight yarn and puffy sleeves in mohair.

I finished mine just before Christmas and have just recently discovered a love of purple so I decided early on to knit my blouse in a lilac combination of yarn.

The bodice is a fairly quick knit, and the sleeves take A G E S. But they are worth it, because look at the volume? I’m already planning another one and thinking maybe light yellow, black or deep red next time… Because the bodice is ribbed you also get a figure-hugging effect. I used thrifted velvet ribbon for the sleeves, but you can also use knitted ribbons or satin – or whatever your heavy desires.
