July Cocktails at The Cocktail Mafia in Edinburgh

PR invite // All thoughts and opinions are, of course, my own.

I can’t believe I haven’t visited The Cocktail Mafia here in Edinburgh more as it’s such a great place for cocktails!

I love when a cocktail bar feels like more of an experience rather than just a place for a drink and The Cocktail mafia definitely has done this successfully. The combination of interior design, curious glassware and interesting flavours really captures your interest and you never really know what is going to show up at your table after ordering. It’s great to go along with friends and discover the variety of cocktails available here.

I tried four different cocktails during the evening and really enjoyed them all.

Grape Sour

Naked Malt, Grape Syrup, Lemon, Angostura Bitters, Aquafaba

A lovely whisky sour with a grape twist which was not too sweet and decorated with frozen grapes was the perfect start to a warm summers evening.

Smoke Break

Laphroaig 10, White Wine, Apple Juice, Honey, Lemon

The Smoke Break proves how well apple juice goes with smoke and the cocktail has a lovely balance where the smoke doesn’t overpower the other flavours. And it’s really refreshing served over a glass full of ice as well.

Pinky & The Brain

Hendricks, St.Germain, Lime, Raspberries, Cucumber, Aquafaba

If you like a summery freshness of cucumber – this is one for you.

The Marie Antoinette

Chambord, Crystal Head Vodka, Gifford Creme de cacao, Pineapple, Chocolate Bitters, Raspberries

The Marie Antoinette was probably the most instagrammable of them with the lovely red heart that decorated the martini glass. And it tasted a bit like raspberry sweeties. Definitely the sweetest out of the ones I tried.

The Cocktail Mafia

15 Charlotte Ln, Edinburgh EH2 4QZ

Prices around £10-£11 / cocktail and there’s also non alcoholic options and pup-tails if you have a furry friend who’s coming along. If cocktails isn’t your thing there’s also a selection of wines, beers, mixers and cider.
