VIP Opening Night at Heavenly Desserts

I swapped my dinner for desserts when attending the VIP Opening Night at Heavenly Desserts which is the first Scotland based venue of the branch. I had no previous knowledge of them, so wasn’t sure what to expect, especially since I often find desserts here in the UK to be a bit to sweet with odd consistencies a lot of the time. However it turned in to a pleasant surprise and the Red Velvet Cheesecake with Strawberry Ice-cream and the Banana Milkshake in particular was really good. I’d definitely consider coming back.

The only thing about the night that I’d perhaps critique, is that it seemed as if they had invited too many people to the opening night which resulted in queues out the door, some people waited for quite a long time to even sit down and we ended up sharing our table with 4 other people we didn’t know to make space. I don’t mind sharing a table with people, especially when it is a pr event but it made the whole atmosphere chaotic and we felt a bit stressed that we needed to finish our food and drinks so that we could leave and offer our spaces for the people in the queue. We also ended up getting our food before our drinks, and they didn’t show up until we were asked if we wanted to order anything else and mentioned that our drinks hadn’t arrived yet, a wait of maybe 20 minutes. However this might’ve just been a hiccup on the night as there were so many people, and I hope it will have been sorted for paying costumers.

The venue is lovely and has a Instagram-Friendly vibe with it’s mint and pink decor, velvet chairs, flower walls and lush desserts. I’ve listed the things we tried and their pricing below for those that are curious and you can find their whole menu on their website as well. We ordered different things so that we could share but there’s plenty of things on the menu that I would come back for. Didn’t get a chance to try the waffles, and they have both American and Belgian ones. The ice-cream that came with both the cheesecake and the cookie dough was wonderful, so highly recommend the ice-cream! The menu also offers a build-your-own desserts that I am curious about.
